VEHICULAR ACCESS
Vehicular access is from Govan Road with close links to the existing M8 and M77 motorway systems at Junctions 23 and 24 on the M8.
The new Clyde Arc Bridge provides a direct link from Pacific Quay to the City Centre.
Improvements to the Clydeside Expressway will also allow easier commuting through road network and avoid current bottlenecks in areas such as Yoker and Clydebank.

The second phase of the system will cross the Glasgow Arc Bridge and carry people to and from the Braehead Shopping Centre, Renfrew and possibly even as far as Glasgow Airport. These hi-tech buses will run every 6 minutes and carry up to 140 passengers running from Central Station to Glasgow Harbour stopping at Finnieston Bridge and Bells Bridge to allow pedestrian links to Pacific Quay.
It is expected that these buses will be replaced in time by an ultra-modern mono-rail system. The Clyde Translink, and the Trans Bus system is proposed to be operational along the North bank of the river with a target implementation date of 2008. The South Bank Route which will initially operate as far as the Southern General Hospital is proposed to be operational by 2009.
